Hello there!

New year, new challenges!

With the emergence of COVID-19, all of our lives have drastically changed. Everyone has been affected to some degree! Stress levels have been increased, daily living routines have been upended and we all must adapt to our new reality!

As many of you know, I have moved to a new office and have altered my hours. I can be reached at the same phone number (561)392-7989. The new office is still in Boca Raton, off Camino Gardens Blvd. Feel free to call for appointments or information.

Tips to Prevent Back Pain

  • Maintain a healthy diet and weight.
  • Remain active—under the supervision of your doctor of chiropractic.
  • Avoid prolonged inactivity or bed rest.
  • Warm up or stretch before exercising or other physical activities, such as gardening.
  • Maintain proper posture.
  • Wear comfortable, low-heeled shoes.
  • Sleep on a mattress of medium firmness to minimize any curve in your spine.
  • Lift with your knees, keep the object close to your body, and do not twist when lifting.
  • Quit smoking. Smoking impairs blood flow, resulting in oxygen and nutrient deprivation to spinal tissues.
  • Work with your doctor of chiropractic to ensure that your computer workstation is ergonomically correct.

The Attitude of Gratitude

We have choices. We make decisions – good ones and bad ones. What I’m proposing is that we make our choices and our decisions mindful of them having a positive impact on our lives. Life, at times, is very difficult. Not all choices or decisions are easy, but they must be made nonetheless. It is my belief that if we conduct ourselves with the attitude of gratitude, the decision-making process becomes more manageable.

We as a people have a tendency to take things for granted, to not be appreciative of the small blessings we receive on a daily basis. Simple things can bring great joy into your life. If you take the time to enjoy enough simple pleasures each day, they add up and make for a much more fulfilling experience.

Pay attention to your loved ones, interact with others with kindness, be thankful for the beauty of nature, tell others you love them, and say thanks to people who do you small favors. Do these things, and I promise you, it will come back to you – with a smile, a kind word, or good feelings. You can improve someone else’s life, as well as your own.
